About Pablo Cesar

Pablo Cesar is the leader of the Distributed and Interactive Systems (DIS) group at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) and is a Professor in the Multimedia Computing group at TU Delft. At the AI, Media and Democracy Lab, Pablo represents the CWI as a board member. 

Pablos research combines human-computer interaction and multimedia systems, with a focus on modeling and controlling complex collections of media objects (including real-time media and sensor data) that are distributed in time and space. 

He was awarded the prestigious 2020 Netherlands Prize for ICT Research in recognition of his work on human-centered multimedia systems. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being an ACM Distinguished Member, an honor bestowed upon prominent members of the Association for Computing Machinery in recognition of significant contributions to the computing field.
