
Marcio Fuckner is a senior researcher at the Responsible IT Lectoraat at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. He researches AI in collaboration with various academic partners, government services, and media organizations. Marcio is also a lecturer for the Applied Artificial Intelligence Master program.
Marcio received his Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana and his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the same Brazilian institution. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Sorbonne University Alliance UTC in France.
His research focuses on developing methodologies to build AI systems responsibly. Some of his projects include research on the bias in speech recognition systems or the effect of echo chambers and filter bubbles in recommender systems.
