Nicolas is a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research and is affiliated with the AI, Media and Democracy Lab. His research focuses on responsible design practices for digital information environments and employs a wide range of methods, such as experiments, qualitative methods, and computational methods. Within the Lab, he is exploring the impact of generative AI on newsrooms, as well as the effects of labelling the use of generative AI on people’s trust in information.
Before joining ASCoR and the AI, Media and Democracy Lab, Nicolas completed his PhD on “Nudging News Engagement” at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
