AI chatbots almost never advise voting for local parties

In this radio piece from BNR Nieuwsuur, Claes de Vreese explains why LLMs being asked for voting advice are much less likely to recommend smaller, local parties: there is likely less information about them online that would get scraped compared to larger parties. This effect, found by the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Authoriteit Persoonsgegevens), risks having the most influence on younger voters, since they are the ones who tend to rely on chatbots for advice.
