Upon release of their newest model, “Astra”, OpenAI are now claiming they have reached AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). Our lab member, Hannes Cools, was featured in de Volkskrant explaining the intentions behind these claims and the language being used around the latest AI developments. Their aim is mostly to make the technology sound more impressive in the eyes of investors and users, fueling imaginations of a positive future with hyper-capable AI.
